In a press release Tuesday, Allegiant Airlines (G4) announced it will begin summer flights from San Francisco to Bellingham, Washington (BLI) on June 6th. Bellingham is about 1 hour South of Vancouver, BC.
Three weekly non-stop flights - Wednesday, Friday and Sunday will be offered, utilizing a full size 150-seat MD-80 aircraft. Introductory rates from San Francisco start at just $59 each way and are available for purchase through May 10th, valid for travel until August 31st.
Allegiant Airlines operates flights throughout the United States. In addition to the San Francisco service, Allegiant plans to debut a a Monterey to Las Vegas route on May 30th. They specialize in linking small and mid-size communities to world class leisure destinations.

How about a nice summer weekend in the great Northwest? Allegiantair.com is showing a $8 one-way fare to Bellingham on June 6th and June 8th only, with a $59 return fare. Total cost $88 roundtrip with taxes included.
