Deciding Whether to Purchase Travel Insurance

In a recent post, industry expert Peter Greenberg answers a reader question about whether one should purchase travel insurance. He outlines situations in which having travel insurance would be particularly beneficial, say if an airline or cruise line goes out of business, and others times when it may be unnecessary cost. He finishes his response by reminding folks that traditional medical insurance, such as plans offered through employers, has limitations when traveling abroad and find yourself in an emergency.
