San Francisco to Austin $68 Each Way
Southwest released a new set of DING! fares today, including a hot fare from SFO-Austin for $68 each way. Valid for Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday travel between October 21 - October 29, and Tuesday and Saturday travel November 1 - November 19. This special fare ends at 3:30 PM Today, and must be purchased using Southwest's DING! Program.
Fares for this route usually run over $200 round trip.

Additional Non-Stop flights from The Bay Area to Austin
Southwest begins the first ever nonstop Oakland - Austin, Texas Service on Saturday. The early morning daily departure has a scheduled 3 hour 15 minute fly time.

JetBlue Launches San Francisco to Austin Nonstop Starting Today
JetBlue launches new non-stop service between San Francisco and Austin, Texas today. The single daily flight will be operated by a 100-Seat E190 Jet (shown on the left). The flight departs SFO at 8:30AM and arrives in AUS at 2:00PM local time.

Several New Airline Routes & Destinations Begin This Summer

Despite the recent pullback in the airline industry, new routes and destinations are being introduced throughout the Bay Area this summer. Although the airlines are thinning the total number of available seats in some markets by reducing plane size and limiting daily departures, they continue to expand in markets they deem profitable, either by anticipated market demand and/or government subsidies.
I've compiled a list of new routes, sorted by departure city, which will begin operating this summer, many in May and June alone. The list includes many exciting visits soon accessible from San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Sacramento, and Monterey Airports.
With these added destinations, now is the time to begin thinking about Summer vacation plans!

JetBlue announces new San Francisco - Austin flight
'The Live Music Capital of the World' is about to become more accessible to Bay Area travelers.
JetBlue continues to expand its West Coast business; the airline announced it will begin a daily non-stop service from San Francisco to Austin, Texas beginning May 1st. Flights will be operated by their brand-new 100-seat Embraer-190 aircraft. Direct TV, XM Radio, Leather seats and free munchies are complimentary, as with most JetBlue flights.

Hot Hot DING fares
It's been a while since we've seen some good Southwest Airlines Ding! fares, but now they're back! You must download the DING! program (free) onto your PC or MAC in order to see DING! fares.
