Who remembers Airline - the TV show from 2004-2005? The programming is based on a UK show, with the U.S. version focusing on Southwest Airlines and their customers. Tempers are flying in this episode due to massive overbooking, ticketing problems, and a potentially drunk passenger attempting to fly. What Happened in Your Hotel Room Before You Checked in?

Enjoy the humor in this, but also imagine the possibilities of what happened in your hotel room before you arrived. =) Something I learned a long time ago: Always remove the comforter from the bed as those are not usually washed after each guest checks out. This is a good first step toward limiting exposure to germs - or something worse.

American Airlines "Doing What We Do Best" Commercial

Here's another oldie but goodie: An American Airlines commercial (circa 1981) featuring the then-popular, "Doing what we do best" jingle. This, like many other airline commercials from the 80's, really emphasize a sort of pride in the airline, confident of the high service quality offered to each and every passenger.

Virgin Atlantic 747 Landing at SFO (Friday Fun)

Here is a special treat for all the airline fans out there. From the Laughing Squid comes this video of a Virgin Atlantic 747 landing at San Francisco International - viewed from the cockpit. Leading up to the touchdown you get to watch the pilots in action as they go through each of the steps to gently lower this big bird onto the runway.
